Sheila Morgan, a South Londoner, first moved to Broadmoor 25 years ago after running many successful yards across Boxhill and surrounding areas. Sheila was first known by her maiden name Sheila Shaw. She first followed her dream and love of Arabians and eventually was able to purchase her first purebred Arabian foundation mare Cleothera (of Crabbet / Polish bloodlines). Cleothera went on to produce 13 foals before her demise, and she is still greatly missed. Her first-born stallion Sayyid of Destiny by the renowned Silver Flame is now the Foundation Sire.
Sheila has gone on to breed numerous horses many of which have reached a very high showing standard. Sariah Arabians has attracted many clients searching for the rare opportunity to ride pure Bred Arabians.
Sheila not only breeds, rears and breaks most of the horses, but also schools them for the show ring where she shows them under saddle and in-hand to international standards.
All the horses that Sheila has bred bear the prefix "Sariah", the name of the Stud.
This part of the Surrey Hills has been carved by nature into one of the most diverse, scenic and tranquil landscapes in Surrey. A landscape of gently rolling countryside cloaked in the green of woodland and grassy glades and bounded by dramatic scarps with equally dramatic views.
The area around Broadmoor has evidence of man's influence on the landscape as far back at the Late Neolithic period, 2400 to 1500 BC. Also nearby are the defensive hill forts of Anstiebury near Coldharbour, and Holmbury Hill. Holmbury, south west of Dorking. Broadmoor is located on Greensand Hills which rise at Leith Hill to almost 1,000 feet to form the highest point in South East England. The hills run parallel to the North Downs.
