Winter Newsletter 2009 - Happy New Year
We hope that this finds you all well, happy and rested after the festive season.
It's been a little while since we last released a newsletter as stable life has kept us all busy, needless to say that, in spite of a lack of sunshine we have had a wonderful Summer and Autumn, highlights of which have included a visit from Antonio Luis Fernandes de Castro who came over from Spain to run a fascinating and illuminating clinic on Natural Horsemanship, a very successful showing at the SEAHG and of course not forgetting the arrival of several boisterous puppies courtesy of our favourite lady canine Evie.
We are now in the throes of winter and all that brings, we are looking at fund raising opportunities for the New Year (ideas and contributions most welcome) and was pleased that our family was all together for Christmas as Sariah, Sapphire and Psalm have returned from grass.
As ever we look forward to welcoming you, your friends and family to the Homestead
Much Love - Sheila and The Team xxx
November 08 saw us open for our "Friends Open Day" here at the Homestead which celebrated the history and success of over 30 years of Sariah Arabians.
Over 40 people came to enjoy the day - it was lovely to see you.
The atmosphere was set by Sheila who gave us a history of Sariah's humble beginnings through to its great (and many) successes. With a few anecdotes thrown in for good measure - both humorous and poignant we were in for a great day.
Della Theobold and her partner David put on a tremendous display to music, showing in hand all of our beautiful steeds, it was magical to see them strut their stuff in the manège and there were a few tears from the audience, many of whom were witnessing this for the first time.
You will be very pleased to hear that David and Della will be back in Spring 09 (date tbc) to run both an in hand and ridden clinic for Arabians.
For those of you yearning to get out in the woods this winter but mindful of the credit crunch we are running an Happy Hacking offer. Book for a 1 or 2 hour hack in February and March and we'll give you 25% discount, a warm welcome and a cup of tea on your return!
We will also be offering half hour manège lessons from £15 - just ring us for more details.
